Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a diagnostic tool that produces detailed images of the human body without the use of x-rays, instead merging the magnetic field, radio waves, and computers to produce highly detailed images of humans internal structures in a noninvasive way. Procedures using MRI are painless and involve no ionizing radiation.
PrimeImaging provides state-of-the-art MRI equipment including both high-field traditional magnets, as well as, open magnets. This allows us to provide the best quality imaging study while maximizing patient comfort.
Noninvasive imaging technique
Does not use radiation
Versatile enough to help diagnose a broad range of conditions, including cancer, heart and vascular disease, and muscular/bone abnormalities
Enables the discovery of abnormalities that might be obscured by bone
Contrast material used in MRI exams is less likely to produce an allergic reaction than the iodine-based ones used for x-rays and CT scanning
